The mealworm crate is characterized by the smooth internal surfaces, that make the crates easy to wash. The edges are high enough to keep the insects in the crate, but low enough to facilitate air flow over the growing insects. The corners are ridged designed, to ensure strong stacking conditions. The mealworm crate is optimized to be automatically (de-)stacked.
